Teriyaki Glazed Sweet Potatoes feature tender roasted sweet potato pieces coated in a rich, savoury teriyaki sauce and finished with green onions and sesame seeds. Roasted until caramelised and flavourful, this dish balances natural sweetness with umami depth. Easy to prepare and full of bold flavour, it works well as a side dish or a simple plant forward entrée.

For the glazed sweetpotatoes
  • 2.7 kg NC sweetpotatoes, peeled and chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 480 ml teriyaki sauce
  • 6 sliced green onions
  • 3-6 tsp sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray or oil.

Step 2

Toss sweetpotatoes with teriyaki sauce. Spread evenly on the baking sheet. Roast for 35 minutes, making sure to flip after 10 minutes and after 25 minutes.

Step 3

Remove from the oven and plate. Top with green onion and sesame seeds.
