- A pinch ground ginger
- ¼ tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- A pinch black pepper
- 2 medium sweetpotatoes, cooked and mashed (600 g)
- 600 g medium sweetpotatoes, cooked and mashed (600 g)
- 450 g ground turkey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 whole wheat buns
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- Dash sea salt
- 60 ml barbeque sauce
- Sage/rosemary

Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 °C.
Step 2
Cut 1 apple in half.
Step 3
Grate apple into a medium sized bowl.
Step 4
Add spices, mashed sweetpotatoes and ground turkey.
Step 5
Shape mixture into 5-6 medium size patties.
Step 6
Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium high heat.
Step 7
Add burgers to pan and cook through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Step 8
While burgers are cooking, toast bun about 3-5 minutes in oven (optional)
Step 9
Cut the remaining apple into slices to top the turkey burger (optional).
Step 10
Top with bbq sauce and sliced cheese.
